McDonald's Easter Hours Will Vary, but the Fast Food Chain Will Definitely Be Open

Even though you’re staying home this Easter, you may not want to throw together a holiday brunch or dinner for your family. For an easy, stress-free holiday, pack your loved ones in the car and head to your nearest McDonald’s for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or an afternoon treat.

With many restaurants and grocery stores closed for the holiday, your options are few and far between. Luckily, McDonald’s confirmed that most of their locations will stay open on Easter Sunday to curb your cravings: “Nearly all McDonald’s U.S. restaurants remain open and are offering convenient, contactless ways for customers to safely enjoy our food through drive thru, carry out, McDelivery, and mobile order & pay with our app,” a rep told GoodHousekeeping.com. While most locations follow normal hours, it’s best to call your local chain ahead of time since hours may vary.

In light of the coronavirus outbreak, McDonald’s and other fast food chains have closed their dining rooms to keep everyone safe and healthy. So, if you want to indulge in a McChicken or Big Mac, you’ll have to swing around the drive thru, order and pay on the McDonald’s app, or get it delivered with McDelivery.

FYI: You can score major deals on food delivery right now. From now until the end of the year, order McDelivery on Uber Eats for the first time and get $5 off your order with promo code MCDS2020. Or order McDelivery on DoorDash and get $5 off orders of $15 or more with promo code DASHMCD from now through June.

To be clear, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) believes that the coronavirus is spread from person to person mainly through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person sneezes or coughs in close proximity to someone else, not via food consumption. That said, it’s important to do what feels right for you — but you can rest assured that McDonald’s is doing everything possible to keep their restaurants sanitary.

What other restaurants are open on Easter?

Given the circumstances this Easter Sunday, most restaurants and fast food chains are only open for to-go and delivery orders. If you need a last-minute meal option, consider ordering carry-out from these select restaurants, or having Easter dinner delivered straight to your door:

  • Boston Market
  • Cracker Barrel
  • Domino’s Pizza
  • IHOP
  • Olive Garden
  • Panera Bread
